I have to agree somewhat. *I don't want to limit anyone's free speech, but a little more moderation on uses of vulgarity and name-calling might be nice. *The spammers... as long as they don't lock me into some stupid website, I can ignore them. *Oh, and as long as they don't take up so much space it's hard to find the REAL questions and topics. *Of course, since there is already a sex accessories store on site the mods might not like the usurping of their territory...lol.

Yes this is a nice board with good people that have real questions and others with good answers.
To have trolls and others come in for the sole purpose to cause trouble for their own personal enjoyment should be warned to stop or get banned. If this board needs more mods to oversee things then they should look to the ones that have been here the longest and can do the job.

I'm not so sure we need more "moderating."
Don't get me started, but we've become a society that wants "somebody else" to solve our problems and take care of things for us. Everytime something bad happens we want somebody to call the cops or pass a law if there isn't one. We are bullshitting ourselves into thinking we can outlaw stupidity and hate and greed. (I said "don't get me started!" LOL) Expecting moderators to deal with spammers and trolls and people who "go off" is just, well unrealistic. The real world is the real world. Banning it doesn't make it go away. I'm betting a lot of this thread is about a certain poster who's name I won't mention but it includes a color. The simple problem with this guy is that a lot of people are giving him the kind of responses he wants! He's baiting you and you're biting. If you ban a troll, he'll come back with a new identity as long as he's getting what he (or she) wants. Conversely, there are some people who need "tough love" with the problems they have. When it's posted, they don't want to hear it and go away or get defensive. Does that mean we should give them what they want? Of course not! So why are we compelled to give people who want anger and hate and an argument what they want?! (That's an editorial "we." Please count how many times I post to threads that are obviously designed to illicit a childish argument.)

I actually mod a board. I have banned people before. Some come back under different identities, some don't. The ones that reregister, we just banned them again. After about 6 ids or something, one person finally gave up.
And this thread is not just about him (and yes, I have ignored him and so have others, but he just kept on, so I don't think ignoring his is quite going to work.) There are other things on this board that I think should be looked at. Another mod could also be a way to get rid of zillions of duplicate threads. And I know that crying and whining doesn't really get you anywhere, but I know that sometimes, it does. Sometimes a law needs to be laid down in order to get it through to some peoples heads. And on another note, I lurked this board for quite sometime before I ever joined and before I ever posted, and some of the things happening now were not allowed in the past. Why start allowing them now? Yes times change but things need to be consistant or it's deemed as unfair. You can't allow it for one person and not for another.

Great! *I now agree with thetease and WallyLlama. *OH, the headache! *
I think what this is in response to is the fact that this has been such a nice friendly board. *I'd hate to see that change. *But I also want to allow people to have opposing opinions. * Just get rid of the intentional rudeness and childishness. Incidentally, if there is a vote for new moderator, thetease gets mine.... assuming she wants it (the job, not the vote...lol) which I doubt.

If you pathetic losers ignore everything you don't like, things will be fine, but it's your own damn fault by making things a lot worse the more you continue to provoke me. If I'm that bad, then ignore me. It's just sad and pathetic how everyone is so defensive of themselves.
