Members only section

How about a new section on the board were only the people with the ranking of "members" or a greater rank can post or read the messages.

Presently only Members can post in the forums (with a few exceptions), but anyone can read.

What would be the purpose of an are where only Members (but no Guests) could go?

Well, actually, it was not my idea, i saw a similar section on another forum. But the main purpose i guess, is to give to the more "regulars" users a place to post messages in a little more private way, where you know that only the "serious users" will read the messages, so you'll get better answers.

Also, it can work as a reward or privilege that you get when you reach certain level (maybe Guru will be ok).

So, that's my idea, maybe some one else can add something to get it better.

hmmm ... nope, I am not in favor of segregating the board. I think the fact that you have to be a member to post in the forums is enough.

Other boards my do this kind of thing for other reasons, but don't we WANT people to come and read our thoughts?

I belong to a message board that has a section that is just for members. The purpose is for serious decussion to go on and not be spammed by trolls.

I haven't been here that long but I don't see the need for such a thing really. This is a sex site and everyone seems to be on the same page about the purpose of this site.
