Need advice from any exprt how much time it will tak to recover ?

I would not be able to comment on the antidepressant and how long since often people must switch their meds. Have you considered seeking a Endocrinologist???????

Antidepressants, chemical or "natural," may cause these problems. Talk to your doctor about the medication or the dosage. Maybe this is short-term and maybe long term. Only your doctor can estimate this.

Well i have consulted with Urologist and he gave me antidepressant with the brand name

Parlodel (Bromocriptine Mesylate) Prolactin Inhibitor

well is it a case of Endocrinologist

To Brandye
you are saying that may be antidepressant cause this problem now i am confused  that my Urologist treatment also contain antidepressant and following.

Parlodel (Bromocriptine Mesylate) Prolactin Inhibitor
Vitamin E capsules
Surbex Z (Zinc, Vitamin E, C, Folic Acid and B complex )

in my case any known drug like Viagra will help me or not ??

I have to ask did they do an MRI of the Pituitary? An Endocrinologist can help but in light of what you said regarding the specific med, the Urologist, Just ASK the MD!

Brandye is right on...the med can cause the issue and it may be a short-term side effect to solve the underlying issue. Your answer is with the Prescriber and if not sufficient another MD.

The MD should be able to answer your questions...antidepressants are notorious for lack of sex, erection in men & sex inhibitors as well in women.

I would not suggest asking for Viagra...I would be asking specific questions of you MD...

No great answer? Get to an Endocrinologist!

Well no MRI done,

Sera300 and Brandye Thanks a lot for replying. I will consult again with my Urologist in next visit after 3 weeks.

You are welcome; wait until you have the appointment in 3 weeks and while there [take a list] of side effects, this med why prescribed, etc. and ask about a MRI with a Pituitary Study--will not hurt to do it.
