No Arguments During 50 Yrs. of Marriage
I recently heard of this couple who have been married 50 years with never an argument between them. How is this possible you ask? A newspaper reporter covering the event asked the husband near the end of the anniversary party who related the following:
"As they were leaving the little country church ready to embark on their honeymoon his bride's horse refused to go. She got off, walked around in front of the animal, looked him in the eye and said 'that's once'. Later on, as the couple rode their mounts down the path the wife's horse stopped, again. Dismounting, the wife looked her horse in the eye, raised her pointer finger and said: 'that's twice'!
Later in the afternoon and after a long trail ride the horse stopped, yet again. This time as the wife dismounted and walked around to face the horse, she looked the steed in the eye, removed her hand gun from its holster and shot the horse dead. Shocked and appalled her husband asked what she was doing and said you cannot just shoot an animal! She turned toward her new husband, raised her hand with pointer finger in the air and said: 'honey, that's once.'"
