Not a pornfan or -actress, but from my point of view;
Some people make their hobby into their job and it enriches their life, because they do what they love every day. Some people explicitly chose to keep their hobby, so that it remains the relaxing thing they look forwards to do in their free time. Not risking it becoming normal, boring or compulsory. There's yet another thing about pornography, pointed out by Weasel: it's about the looks. Sex on cue with someone telling you what to do, is pretending to have sex, iow: acting. No matter how physically "real" it is, it does not make it sex to stick a penis in a vagina with every move, facial expression and scream staged. Pornography has little to do with sex. Acting has little to do with who you really are. But acting can certainly be enjoyable to do! Is it possible to pretend to be dancing or to make music? As in: only making the moves necessary? That would affect the performance badly, unless someone would be able to mask and mimic the emotions that come with it. That's most certainly possible. Although I would think that someone that does not dance with heart and soul, has became his own charade. And is no longer really dancer or musician, but has more become an actor, perhaps pretending to be a former version of oneself. What perhaps also matters; to what extend does your profession make you who you are? Artists, dancers, musicians; these are professions in which you tend to pore a lot of your emotional and physical self into. If you identify yourself with your work and it becomes your life, it is more likely to be your passion, but also more likely to one day be your fall.

I do agree with both Weasel and RR,when sex is staged,it's not real,every movement,every kiss and touch is directed and choreographed to make it look appealing.When having sex for enjoyments sake it is spontaneous,and a beautiful act in itself.The porn actors themselves would have to go through the motions with other actors,and then go home to their own lovers if they have a life outside of their work.Like professional wrestling,porn movies don't really get me interested as it all seems fake to me.

I've always wondered this too. I personally think porn is fun to watch because of some of the different fantasies that people come with are quite interesting, also some female pornstars are incredibly sexy. The male pornstars are usually ugly and have abnormally huge dicks which is really unbelievable. Anyways, don't you usually have to enjoy your work to be so good at it? Or to put up with it everyday? This also leads to the question why do men orgasm when they are making porn movies? With a woman you can never really tell if they climax or not but with a guy it's visible. In order to climax you obviously have to enjoy what you are doing, right?

Well, there's this Czech actor Robert Rosenberg who said in an interview he is naturally able to get his member up quick, keep it hard for as long as he wants and cum nearly on cue. Combined with physical fitness and looks, the qualities needed for the job. That doesn't mean he doesn't like it (the guy actually seems really passionate about his job!), but on a day he's tired and not much into it, he still manages with a little effort.

The film 'Love Actually' has the two pornstars Martin Freeman and Joanna Page doing the business. They act it out and arrange a real life date. It takes Martin all his courage to give Joanna a goodnight peck on the cheek at the end of the date. Good film.

"There was a time, it was the best of times" when X-rated videos had the man actually pull out and you could watch him ejaculate. Now the "plots" in recent years have changed and all you get to "enjoy" is a lot of humping accompanied by lots of moaning and maybe a bit of chatter. (The most interesting video I watched was a French production with a one word script during intercourse: The woman kept saying "we...we....we...we we we....." etc.
Having enjoyed the older videos, there is nothing in the new ones that does anything for me. My point being, why sit thru a long humping session only to have the video just fade away and end. It's anti-climactic not to mention "anti-climaxic"! > I have seen professional musicians and dancers get burnout because what they enjoy doing for a career has ceased to be enjoyable has become work. As a recreational Ballroom dancer who also teaches, I suppose you could call me a professional; however, I do not make my living as a dance instructor, so just consider the two nights a week I work as recreational, also. Teaching a few hours a week has always been enjoyable with my purpose being to fulfill students' desires to dance on a cruise, at a wedding, or to interest people in the sport of dance and to join a few hundred others one or more nights a week exercising, socializing, and for the pure fun of it. There have been times when I became tired of dancing and have taken short breaks for a few weeks. This still happens once in a great while, yet I always return. Now we pace ourselves, so instead of going out three nights a week, we go dancing one or two nights and do other things on those off days. Years ago I did actually become burned out, only it was because of the facility. Three different dances plus a monthly workshop were held in a school's multipurpose room. The paint scheme on the walls was a light powder blue topped in tan. I became so tired of seeing these ugly walls that I would balk and stay away from each of these for a month or more. Luckily, all but one of these activities eventually found new homes--problem solved. As for the male "models" as they are referred to working steadily, cranking out movie after movie, one has to consider that the film makers have thought ahead and have several ejaculation cuts that they can insert at appropriate times. We don't want to sit thru the plot, become all worked up, only to see a weak climax in which the actor just dribbles or oozes after a long hard day. (Maybe this is why modern productions no longer show the man ejaculating, do ya think?)

Life without dancing? I don't think so...... The feet may learn the steps; yet only the spirit can dance! Dancing is the fastest way to get a girl alone and into your arms in public. The Tango smolders and burns. It ignites the heart, the soul, and yes, the libido. Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to Dance in the Rain! Dance as if nobody is watching. |
