Hey Dad! Come see the kittens"
So there I was . . . Just relaxing in front of the T.V. When the kids yelled, "Hey Dad, come see the kittens." Click on link.

They actually make lovely pets, I'm told, although this is of course when their scent glands are removed. Apparently they're quite sweet animals. I've never gotten close enough to tell- although given what my sister's dog smelt like when he came back from a tangle with one, I think I prefer orange tabbies.

Reminds me of one of Jurassic Park films where the little girl wanders off to see the cute dinosaur...
Well even if the kids don't get eaten, the mother of those skunks is going to be VERY upset. And if you look carefully you can tell that the baby skunks are trying to flank the kids - get them caught in a pincer maneuver. Devious yet very effective.

Brought up from infancy, skunks to tend to make nice pets. One person I hear about named their male: Pierre LaPeugh.

I'm with Justagirl:
Beautiful pets but had too many of my dogs accidentally sprayed in the middle of the night when they had to unusually get up to for out). I'll keep what is called a "indoor house squirrel"....a nice cats.

Invasion of the killer skunks!
I've never seen a real skunk, as we don't get them in Australia. Somehow I always thought they were much bigger than that. (I'm afraid that my knowledge of skunks was obtained almost exclusively from watching old bugs bunny cartoons.) Here in Australia, we have possums, which are nocturnal. Brushtail possums are about the size of a large housecat, and are very cute looking, but don't let that deceive you. If you get one in your roof, you won't believe the noise they can make and the mess they will leave. I know someone who was on a camping trip once, and while sitting by the campfire after consuming a considerable quantity of alcohol, suddenly felt something jump onto his lap. In his somewhat inebriated state, he thought it was a cat, so started stroking it, only to discover that it was a possum after it sunk its claws into him.

These are babies (the operative term being "kittens"), adults are larger although not as tall as a cat and generally wider.
