Pearl Harbor = One of the worst movies ever, definitely missed the point. I know that this was mentioned in a movie recently, but it's absolutely true. It really bothered me that the horror of Pearl was overshadowed in the movie by some trashy story about betrayal and sex. The movie was advertised like it was about the attack, and the brave men and women who lost their lives, and the way the country responded with one voice, but those themes were put on the backburner to get Ben Affleck a sexy part. Pathetic.

That's right, I referenced Aqua Teen Hunger Force in giving relationship advice. What of it?

Not to mention that army and navy nurses NEVER wore long flowing hair when in uniform, (unhygienic) much less a pile of greasy red lipstick.

I would have to say Message In A Bottle with Kevin Costner.

I completely agree Batman.

That sort of thing really irritates me too. But what does hollywood care? Or for that matter, the celebrities. They still get their millions of dollars.

Constantlylearning, I agree that this world could use more love. What I believe tends to turn men off of romance movies is when their girlfriends compare their own relationships to what they see on tv. I get squeemish when I see all that "mush" thinking I will be expected to suddenly live up to that. As mushy as lots of movies are I won't deny they make interesting stories though.

The devotion one person had for another, a devotion that transcended
many obstacles and barriers. A love that never truly faded away despite
a long separation. Didn't you get the feeling that Noah (the guy) truly
thought Allie (the girl) was the most beautiful and wonderful woman alive???
I did but I am sappy so perhaps my views are quite skewed. I liked the movie.

I don't think that makes your views skewed...just thoughtful.
