So so, what kind of music does everyone like? Are there any particular bands or artists that are your faves? Any that you hate? Any fave songs in particular?

I know this type of topic has been posted before, but they were a while ago, so I figured I'd bring this back up considering there are new members and some people's tastes may have changed...

I really love music. One of my all time fave bands is Nirvana. Ive got like 8 cd's of them! I also like Evanescence, Slipknot, Dropkick Murphys, From Autumn to Ashes, Bright Eyes, Staind, Brand New, and lots more...

So how about everyone else?

i like a variety of music...i like rap and hip hop but i also like alternative rock...
my favorite rapper is tupac...he was pretty hot too! and the alternative bands i like....linkin park, rage against the machine, KORN, muse....brits r COOL!!! lol.

what do you like to listen to when you do it?

van morrison always does it for me, or jazz (coltrane, parker, not the new cool jazz crap)

other than that, i am an old timer, like the dead & dylan more than anything, but lots of other music and anything that is quality, not pop junk.

music doesn't really turn me on, but as long as it's something that is generally slow danced to; mainly for me the softer classic rock songs, then it's a good mood setter.

My favorite kinds of music in general are rather broad. i'll listen to anything. and i used to say i'd listen to anything except the rap and hip hop stuff, but there's some of that i'll even listen to now. but mainly i like classic rock, modern rock, the 90's alt rock era, with REM, 3eb, better than ezra, counting crows and all that was just awesome. not too big a fan of country, but i can still sing along to any garth brooks song out there, and most of the rest is still pretty good. i got hooked on techno when when i was in germany, classical music is a profound, moving art that modern music just doesn't come close to. Beethoven, Mozart, Bach. so yeah, music is awesome

I used to be a big time Metal head like I used to be into 80's thrash metal, I used to be a big fan of Death metal, hardcore, etc. You know, the big time mosh pit stuff. But I've got tired of that music and today's metal music is junk.

I've been a huge classic rock fan my entire life. I love bands like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, etc.

I love alternative rock, am a huge fan of Nirvana. The Chilli Peppers. Foo Fighters are great. I love Audioslave. Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam and Nickelback are some of my favorites.

I'm also a huge fan of country music. I'm a big fan of Josh Turner, Clint Black, Reba, Gretchen Wilson, Sherrie Austin, Terri Clark, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Johnny Cash, etc.

Country and classic rock is what I mostly listen to right now more than anything else.

I'll just sit here in the other side of the world for music.

I listen to just about anything...except hard rap and opera and most country makes me want to cringe.

But I'll refrain from talking about favorite artists...not because I'm ashamed, but because I don't feel like I need to be laughed at, made fun of, criticized, called names, etc etc, for the stuff I choose to like. I also don't need to hear the same ass crap I hear all the time about how whoever sucks and how whoever is so much better.

Just so you know, I dont do that and had no intention of doing so. I just wanted to talk about the ones we each like. But I know what you mean, and I dont blame you for choosing not to respond.

Oh, I wasn't calling you out or accusing you or anything.
There's just always SOMEONE out there who does it and it's just well, beyond annoying.

If you choose to not like the music I do, that's your option. But I don't need to hear your (a you in general) crap about how you think they suck and why you don't like them and blah blah blah and what names you can come up with for me as a music fan while you bash those artists.

But anyways... to go with the norm trend of this thread, I will say that Green Day is one of my favorite artists and has been for quite a while.
