Kinda in the need of help:
currenly in a recently-become sexual relationship and am new to the whole thing.
My girlfriend and i are finding it uncomfortable. on my part it would be because despite the fact i get hard. my erection just doesnt want to point up... I'm 18 years old, exercise, eat well, i dont smoke and dont drink regularly. as far as i can remember its always been like that. but its really annoying the heck out of me and i was wondering if anyone can give me any tips on what to do (other than going to the doctor) so that i know what the problem is. Has anyone heard of this before? I know its a stupid to leave these things REALLY late but *shrug* I didn't see it as a problem till now.

Which way is your erection pointing?

As for the answer, it should be comforting to know that erections point in all sorts of directions. A few point straight out from the abdomen, more list more to the left or to the right. Once in a while you will see a penis that has a bend part way along the shaft. Each is unique, each is different.
The angle of an erection is predicated upon uneven growth patterns along the left and right sides of the shaft. There is no reason to want to change or correct this unless the penis has a sharp right-angle bend that is known as "Peyronies Disease". If this is the case, then it should be looked into immediately. Other than this one anomoly, penises that perk up in any direction are all well within the range of normal.

It is a normal penis. It doesn't need to have a natural upward tilt as long as it can be oriented that way from the base by pulling upward.
Not all point upward, some point straight out. And some of the the well endowed men have a slight lean downward. You are the only who is going to worry about it!

I have the same erection angle, it's like the opposite to every other one that I have seen.
What concerns me is the sexual positions and getting the most pleasure. I want to know which are the best for my angle, which will give the mst pleasure to both of us. The positions (even on this site) that you read about are very upward curved erection orientated. And even diagrams on the "G-spot" and vagina shape favour the upwards curve.
Anyones thoughts?
My ex hung more straight (really straight out) not up, it was never an issue hitting the g-spot for him. All I had to do was adjust myself into a position (tilting my pelvis) where it felt best. I don't think your missing anything since your penis fills her when your in and should still massage all the right areas.
Hitting the g-spot is easier w/her on top of you or in missionary; at least to me. Doggie never did much for getting the right spot, I did it more for him.
I would think if you were curved downward... and did it doggy style.. then you would be right on the gspot?!?
He should be! I just never cared for the position much only did it b/c he like it, I felt like the port of entry! But anatomically it should be correct!
