easier or harder to get pregnant on period?

me any my girlfriend decided to try having sex on the 4th day of her period, she was really worried about the mess and we put a towel on the bed

she seemed to really enjoy it, but just out of curiosity is it easier or harder to get pregnant?

we used a condom and i never go inside of her so pre-cum is our really only concern i believe

opinions?

dumb question, but if i go in a condom, take the condom off and get right in a swim suit and get in a hot tub with her. is there a chance in a blue moon the sperm could swim off me, to her, and in her in a hot tub?

There is always the possibility to get pregnant. During the period is less, HOWEVER, the fertile day / timeframe may be VERY close to it, you have to be VERY careful.

 Huh... I'll let the SeBranDoc colective answer that one...

I would assume the chlorine would kill the sperm

Ovulation can occur at any time of the month, even during the menstrual cycle (although it not very common). The only SAFETIME for sex is when you want to be parents and are trying to have a child. As Emilie said, the chlorine should kill it off, hope it properly chlorinated. The only hot tub I would trust would be my own...think about all those body fluids you just mentioned...soaking in them. Plus other peoples.

Now there is a "soup" I don't think I'd like!

i sure hope it was properly clorinated and she had a tapon in to so maybe that will help as well

The tampon string can act as a wick drawing the messy water into her. One other reason I use menstrual cups.

if a woman's cycle is normal (and i mean the entire month of the cycle-not just the few days she is actually on her period) then by the time she has her period she has, in theory, already ovulated (ovulation being the ONLY days in a 28-30 day cycle that she can become pregnant)
BUT:
-most younger women and especially teens do not have normal cycles, so just because she is on her period does not necessarily mean she has already ovulated

-sperm can survive in the vagina for a few days, so if she is not ovulating, has unprotected sex, and then begins ovulation a day or so later, she can still become pregnant

lol i don't really use tampons, and i have never used them in water...but i always wondered about the tampon string having a sort of "wick" effect and expanding uncomfortably...although that may be taking it too far i suppose...

Given the information you have posted? NO. What everyone here is telling you your sexual behavior is risky and can lead to serious consequences. Get smart quick! Just wait until she is due for her period, don't stress since what is done is done, and if she is late then get to the doc ASAP. Also, about 7 days prior to her next "scheduled" period do a home preg test and repeat it if her period does not begin as scheduled. At least this will help ease your mind.

so should i get her the pill? i think its been past 72 hours

we didnt do anything different from what we have been for the last few months and i understand the risk involved

so what everyone is trying to tell me basicly is what im doing can have conquences and i should continue to learn more? im accually thinking about stoping having sex until she gets on birth control and even then still use a condom for maximum protection

thanks again everyone
