My 2cents:
1) I prefer without lube. Lube often dries and needs constant replacement. However, the hand that giveth needs to be completely dry as does the cock. If either is sweaty or in anyway sticky it is better to use some kind of lube. When both hand and cock are dry note the silky quality which allows your hand to just slide up and down.
