I think dry humping and dry sex are the same thing. Heavy petting I think is touching underneath clothes and below the waist.
Not entirely sure though!

My def of heavy petting is like if you are making out w/someone and it starts getting intense..and like you start groping boobs and crotches! then it's crossed over to heavy petting instead of just making out.... but like most things... I am sure everyone will have their own definition and limits to this.
