My girlfriend's vibrator is on it's last legs. Since she really likes my penis, I was considering a plaster/silicone molding kit (vibrating). I know we would have a blast making it together, and she would love a replica of my c**k; but I want to give her the best toy I can. I would like to hear a review of the materials used by the different kits.
Thanks,

I haven't ever used one, but I have read some reviews on them. It seems a very popular one that gets decent ratings is the clone-a-willy kit. I did a quick google and found this one that has a silicone mold (much better quality): http://www.createamate.com/default.aspx
There is also this one which looks quite good:

David Levy wrote a book called “Love and Sex with Robots”. I have not yet had a chance to read it, but I hear it is really good.
My wife and I tried a moulding kit. It is not as simple as it seems. After cutting the plastic tube to the correct length and mixing the mould you have to put your penis in the mixture. The trick is to not only maintain an erection but to keep your penis in the middle of the tube so it doesn't hit the sides of it. Not as easy as it sounds. After you make the mould you need to fill it with the liquid rubber asap. We didn't know this and went to pour in the rubber the next day and the mould had dried out and shrivelled. We have yet to try it again.

Oh, only a little. The prospect sounds pretty cool, though!

So long as you don't keep your penis pressed against the side, it's OK if it touches the side a little. Assuming you keep the mold in the plastic tube while poring the casting itself, that is. While I've never used a penis molding kit, I do make molds of quite a few things for my job, so I've never dealt with having to "stay hard" while casting a mold :p Good luck to you.
This is where your partner can come in pretty handy. She can try to keep you hard by doing other things to you or for you. Not only is it fun to try to keep a hard on with out touching his member it can be a very erotic lesson in what else might be a turn on for him. Think about the other places she could put her hands and mouth that could have a very sensual feeling. If all else fails, I have never met a man who didn't get a woody by watching his partner touch herself!
Or porn. :) That can work, too.
