We all know that tampons/towel/condoms are freely available in pub toilets.... how about a pee-on-the-stick pregnancy test?
views? opinions?
would it help put peoples minds at rest early on, or indeed give them the confirmation and get them to seriously think about visiting a doctor. ![]()

Yes new machines do take 20's and other dollar bills. Privacy would be the ONLY reason these would be a good idea.
And sure, if you are having sex you should be mature enough to be able to buy a pregnancy test, but let's think about that one.... How many young people that are definitely having sex are way too emberassed to buy condoms? At least with condoms you can say "just in case". With a PT, it's pretty much assured, the deed's been done. lol.
BUT if a machine that took that kind of money was in the privacy of a bathroom, it would be way too easy for someone to break into and steal all that money. And yeah, we would not want cheap PT's in there because that would defeat the purpose.

ah but yes, anything that is in a restroom has always taken quarters. they're not your normal vending machine. they're cheesy, crappy, and half the time empty or just don't work. lol. they're not even computerized. you just stick the quarters in and turn the knob....kinda like a bubble gum machine.
so while it's a good idea on a lot of levels, it won't ever follow through.
too expensive, too time consuming, and really, the things that come out of those machines are cheap and i dunno about you, but i wouldn't want a cheap pregnancy test.
Good idea? Yes
Will they do it? probably not
I don't think whatever the washroom company is will do it, I don't think it will generate enough profit to make it worth while for THEM.
Please insert 15 dollars please, quaters only
For me, I guess it's a non-issue, at least on a personal level.
I can't say that I think it should be done in the interest of privacy. I believe in consequences and taking responsibility. If a person decides to have sex, he or she is deciding to take the risk of pregnancy and the responsibility for precautions and any necessary testing.
It is, however, an interesting business opportunity. LOL

I for one actually don't think it would be a great idea. I mean, usually machines like that take only quarters, and thos things can run up to $10 if you're lucky. Also, in those machines, they probably will go for something cheap and possibly crappy. Some might even expire, and not be changed. I dunno, something to think about. And I'm for one actuially don't mind getting one at Target or some place like that. And I'm not married yet either.
LOL... I agree with Lilly. I think something like that might work especially because of the privacy thing. Good idea!
It would be cool because it would be pretty private. Wouldn't have to do that walk of shame in walmart after getting your box and trying to cover them up with a t-shirt in case you run into your aunt martha who knows you're not married. lol.
But yeah, they are costly, so you'd have to put a lot of money into it.
Pretty good idea, tho.
hmm that seems overboard. Unlike other things like periods and such, you only have a pregnancy test once in a while. It is not a weekly, monthly or yearly thing. So that would be weird if i saw those springing up in bathrooms across America. Although it would be useful to some people, it would be clearly understandable to buy them in stores more. Plus i can see a bunch of teenage girls buying them as jokes and then when soemone really needs one there won't be any. Plus don't pregancy tests cost a lot? Clever idea though, and i would think that one up too.
