How to get to know this girl?

Okay there's this girl at my school that I want to talk to. I think I might be able to get her to like me but the problem is I only have one class with her and talking in class is kinda rude and you should be paying attention. How do I get to know her? I was thinking about asking her to get lunch with me but is that too weird? I walk by her everyday.

Things for you to consider:

* If you can walk out of your class beside/behind her, then talk briefly in the hallway. Ask if she would like to have lunch together, or, meet after school, or, hand her a slip with your telephone number on it and ask if she might share hers with you.

* Tell her as you walk out of class together that you would like to invite her to have a soda or desert after class and ask if she is interested--today, tomorrow, or some day later in the week.

* If there is a school event coming up, ask her if she would like to go with you.
