Dating Abuse

When I was seventeen years old, I was abused by a boyfriend, I was very naive and young and let it go on for eight months.




The worst injury I have ever gotten was a broken ankle in the hands of the guy, the relationship started out great and then he turned into a monster.




In conclusion, IMO I think guys shouldn't be abusive in order to feel great about themselves.

Ummmm In My part of the world it is illegal...It's called assault...

If it isn't Illegal in your country I would be very surprised

It is illegal but I didn't know that when I was seventeen, now almost seven years later I think I followed my heart and not my brain.

HEY even your heart should have told you that this was wrong. You say you love someone and yet you beat them up??!?!? WTF??? Unless you come from a home where daddy beat up mommy and you thought this was how men were supposed to behave.


Abuse and assault are illegal in the entire US.

Abuse and assault are illegal in the entire US.

I think the guy came from a home with an abuse, I came from a loving home, my late Father never hit my Mother. Also the guy was an alcoholic at seventeen, he would get drunk every Friday, the abuse was worse when he was drunk, I would get punched or kicked.

So, leave him flat the first time it happens and don't look back.

there is the aspect of women I just don't understand.....why hook up with a guy that turns out to be an ass, take forever to either leave or kick his butt out and when cops get involved defend the guy!....then, with a sob story later about changing, let his butt back into your lives !!! and it all starts again.

I've seen it over and over with freinds that WHERE THE WOMEN....

Well, think about it. Women are taught to please men; are taught they need a man; and women too can get stupidly entangled up emotionaly. Also they may have been abused at home in which case, this is normal to them. Or they can be emotionally 13 and believe in fairy stories one of which is "love will change him into a better man". Some women think women are inferior to men or are born to serve and obey men. Finally, many women believe that love means self-sacrifice.
