ok so this girl and i have been friends for about 4 years now and we have liked each other for that entire time but only now decided to make something of it to put it bluntly shes the girl of my dreams but shes dead set against my job which happens to be my dream job. ive wanted to be with her all this time but i also love my job what should i do here?

I kind of disagree with the other because I think being a soldier changes things. As you know, it's a line of work that is very hard on the person you are with. You are off for long periods of time and she never is sure if you will ever return. My grandfather work in intelligence and my mother and grandmother talk about how hard it was for the them. He died when my mother was 8. She has the right to chose not to live that life. I think you need to decide if you think you will be happier in the army or with her.

Doesn't matter whether she likes it or not. Yeah it is tough - SO WHAT? It is part of 'the deal' and you either accept that or you quit annoying the man and go bother someone else.

And that is exactly how you present it to her.


Because no woman of character would ever ask you to give up doing the job you love.
