ive been goin out with this girl and she had such beautiful long hair and she cut it shorter and now it looks awful and I just dont feel the same way about her, I begged her not to do it but she did it anyway and I said just do whatever makes you happy, But is not liking her hair a good enough reason to break up?

You ask if not liking her hair is good enough reason to break up. I say the fact that a haircut has you asking such questions is a good sign that need to examine your reasons for being in the relationship.

Was her long hair the only thing you found attractive about her? Long hair might be one of the reasons we are attracted to women, but it is not something to build a relationship on. Do you have common interests? Do you converse about things other than her hair?

As you become more mature you are going to discover - it might take a while- that women are going to do what they want, especially with their physical appearance. Sometimes they might dress or wear their hair the way you want sometimes they might not. I wonder how she feels about your general appearance. Would you be willing to change your hair or the way you dress for her?

If all you care about is her hair just tell her face to face that you are self centered and shallow and you only liked her for her hair. Wish her well in her life and tell her that you hope she finds someone who is more deserving of her.

Meanwhile go out with all the girls with beautiful long hair that you can. Perhaps you will mature a bit along the way.

I am the responder who usually gives the long of it. Now, in rare form, I'm giving the short answer:

Yes.

Why? Because if your feelings for her are based on appearance then she is not the person for you, nor is anybody else you are attracted to because of some physical attribute.

Of course people are physically attracted to one another, yet this is not nor should it be the only thing that attracts us to each other. If you do not find her personality intriguing, her smile captivating, her eyes alluring, her voice enticing, her mind a thing of wonder, then you have the wrong person.

Consider that when a man wants to be seen with a beautiful woman by his side, it is usually because he is insecure, that he has self esteem issues, that he has an ego that is in need of being propped up. That she cut her hair and you find it unattractive says volumes about you more so than her.

It matters little whether it is hair style or length, color, wardrobe, style of shoes/boots that she has changed, etc.

You can, although I would think long and hard about what you tell her and how.

Keep in mind that she may like it a lot and that is pretty much that. It may also be that her new do is a work in progress as she and her stylist fine tune the results over a few months.

1 you told her to do what she wanted and
2 yeah looker are a plus but there not everything
3 if you love her you will find a way to deal with it
