Ladies - what makes your knees quake?

I'm seeing this lass, nice girl like, but a reputation for being a bit frigid. I just wondered what makes you wanna drop yer knickers? I don't mean to sound crude or borish or ought, but in my experience most girls have their thing?

How long do you wait before you contemplate having sex, I know it depends on the guy (though some girls have rules like at least third date, three weeks or whatever) but usually?

This is an interesting question that I for one would enjoy reading opinions about.

As for guys, we can contemplate before, during, or after, the first date.

Perhaps a better question is how long into the relationship do you have sex? The author of "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment", by commedian Steve Harvey, was recently interviewed on Oprah and he offered this notion:

He related how he once worked for Ford Motor Company and as a new hire, he was expected to work for 90 days and to have his work evaluated as well as how he interacted with coworkers before being eligible for health insurance and other benefits.

This might be a good book to read; regardless of what your answer to the o/p's question is, man or woman, it seems to me from recent posts that people are all too willing and eager to jump in the sack or undress and show all, all too soon. Sex for sex sake? OK. For cement to an important relationship, I believe "waiting" days or a few weeks is way too premature for anything meaningful to come from the haste without much more effort.

The girl has that rep because she's been turned OFF by guys always and only wanting to get into her knickers, viewing her as being a challenge to their wooing prowess etc and so forth. So if you are just going to be and yet ANOTHER jerk - FOAD, buddy. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure you're interested in her hopes, dreams, thoughts, future et al - right up until she's in bed with you and then it will be "cya bye bye chickie-baby" as you then go off and crow to your mates about how you conquered The Citadel.

Harsh? You betcha, baby.

The plain truth is SHE wants the real deal - a MAN, not some kid pretending up to be "The Man". My advice: hang out with her without making any moves but still showing a slight bit of interest. SHE has to come to you. Remember that trick - how to keep at arm's length without losing your grip? Do that yourself. Be calm. Be relaxed. Be real. You're one huge grumbly teddybear upon whom she can rely, with whom she laugh, with whom she can dance, with whom she can play, and to whom she can talk - when your social schedule permits.

I think a guy willing to wait is very attractive too - she will probably end up making the first move if you are patient. And I agree - she is probably "frigid" because guys in the past have just wanted one thing.

She's NOT FRIGID, dammit. She's sovereign. She's demanding the best. She's probably a fiery volcano but she also sees no reason to "waste" her time with unworthy males.

All guys want one thing - some are better at disguising it than others, though -it's the way we are programmed.
