Be yourself--really yourself, no false faces, stupid remarks, dumb actions. Be courteous and polite, and introduce yourself or have friends you trust introduce you to others. Network. Let family and friends know you are interested in dating and get them to help you search.

Also, 14 is a bit young to have girlfriends in my opinion. I'd work on making a lot of friendships with girls and boys and in a year or two you'll have experience interacting with others and a lot of people who can help you. Do not be in a rush. Take time to be a kid and just go through the stages and phases of puberty, growing up, and, maturing.
