Communication - hmmmmm. Let's be more specific - EFFECTIVE communication is the key - because if all you're going to do is weep and wail about "my best friend going away from me" well, it is not going to get you what you want.
Long distance relationships? Nope. You can have great "phone" and great "IM" etc and so forth but until you actually physically meet in person - you have nothing. Chemistry can only be decided at a distance of 12 inches. That is when you get yes or no. At each of life's transitions, it is paramouint to end up looking forward to what is next. Reflect, enjoy that for a time, then pack it away and get on with life. |

I agree that talking on the phone and IMing is great, but it doesn't make a relationship. You have to see each other in person. You cn make long distance work tough. It is tough, but if it is worth it to everyone involved they can work.
