Making a good impression at a wedding
Ya i have a wedding to go too in march. And i need to go buy some clothes that is going to make a good impression. I'm new too the town and i think it would b a great way to meet some of the local woman. I'm not exactly sure what appropriate to wear at a wedding. And i want to stand out a lil but in a good way. So i would like some suggestions. Here is a picture of me. It might make it easier to see what would suit me best.

March wedding? Okay, what type of wedding? Formal? Night? Day? Hour of wedding and reception? Reception is being held at what venue? Indoor, Outdoor? Church? If its a Church what religion? Their first or second marriage? Their ages approximately? Yours? Is it formal attire or not?
Rule is: Always over dress; you can always wear a nice suit with a tie. Good shoes. Remember--you can unbutton the jacket or remove it as the reception goes on. Your good looking...go for traditional colors such as a dark green (olivish) or deep tan color. Be careful with dark blues, black, and charcoals since you may look like part of the party. Always, always, overdress....when in question. Good formal shirt with a full collar which matches the suit. Looking at you? I would pick a nice dark olive suit with a nice shirt, dark tan with a yellow hue (not yellow). And a tie which is traditional silk and matches the suit and shirt. Socks? Must match the suit. Nice leather shoes... Try a good men's store for try on's & see what looks good. You can always have a suit altered. Best place? Bridal shops! Took all my ex-husbands clothes there for tailoring of pants and the jackets...he required an athletic cut. I used to find nice Oscar or Claiborne suits and have them tailored to him...they were fast, could cut down fast, and fit properly...men's tailors? Hard to find these days. At least around here. Nice Italian suits work too...depends on where the reception is? At a wedding hall? Or a high end restaurant? And the state! I have been married enough times to know by now!!!![]() Plus this look never goes out of style. You can modify it for dates...use the pants and put on a different shirt & shoes (more casual) or use it for interviews. Nothing beats...hot dress...also see if it says "black tie" event on the invite..then it's the penguin suit.

Cute pic btw...o.k., you need to dress up for sure. Do not do jeans to a wedding, especially if you want to meet some ladies. If you don't want to invest in a suit, then at the very least dress slacks, nice shirt and a tie.
Tie is a must - you can always take it off later at the reception if you need to. Jacket will add to the classy look. Good luck - go and be confident - that is the most attractive thing to a woman, more so than what you are wearing!! |

Worst thing about weddings is that what you wear can usually make you feel really uncomfortable and stuffy.
You have a red-toned complexion, so steer clear of anything red, blue or yellow (any variation) as the suit colour. Sera had it right with olive/dark green, but I think you could carry off a chocolate brown suit with a lighter brown (maybe even striped) shirt really well. Go for a bolder tie, maybe a dark burnt orange and dark brown shoes. Make sure you keep your socks dark brown too and that your shirt/jacket sleeves don't ride up badly when you raise or stretch your arms and that your trouser legs don't sit halfway up your shins when seated. A nice dark brown belt will finish your look. Try everything on before you buy it to make sure it is comfortable and fits well. You don't want to splash out on something you are only going to wear once, especially if it is someone else's wedding Every part of the outfit, if comfortable and well tailored, can be reused.Sera hit the nail on the head - Always overdress. It's easier to take off your jacket or leave it on and remove your tie, than to get there and feel too casual. And yeah, you are quite cute too, so make sure to smile and relax, enjoy the evening and your look will make you feel just that much more confident Have fun!

Whatever you wear its only half the battle, at my bro's wedding i was hitting on a bar maid but made the mistake of drinking with a guy from the RAF. 13 pints later it was not a pretty pic lol Hope you have a good time!
