Hi, I have recently been getting quite a bit of female attention. Some thing that I can't get my head round is that every time a good looking girl comes up to me to talk, dance etc, there female friend always pulls them away. Even when their friend is interested in me. Some girl actually got in the way of her friend that i was dancing with for a quite a bit and pushed me back and told me to go away, just yesterday. I'm not even sure if it's jealousy. Personally if my friend was getting in with a girl, I would leave them alone and think good on him. Where is the logic in it. Can someone explain to me why this happens and what to do about it. Please. I've lost count of the amount of times i've been in there and their friend has come along and pulled them away.

b. They think you are gross and want to save their sisters from your ugly clutch.

There is no way to explain adolescent behaviour. It changes from place to place and day to day and the rules of the mating game affect all social relationships at that age.

How old are you, and how old are these girls you are talking about? If you are all teenagers - then sheesh, who knows? Part of "flirting" as a teen is doing things that make no sense, playing cat and mouse, teasing and taunting like you were in grade school.

If you are older - why not just ask out a girl that you are interested in? Set up a date to get to know them privately, without friends around.

If the setting you are referring to is a dance club or something to that affect, I have gone out with a group of girls before with the game-plan of a "girls night out", that we are going to stick together and leave together, no picking up men. Now, if I see one of my friends hitting it off with a guy, I am not going to bother her or pull her away. But I have been out with some girls before who MEAN it when they say "girls night out" - they do not want any men infiltrating the group at all, and will go as far as pulling away one of the girls who is hitting it off with a man at the bar. Really, it's dumb and immature, but I am sad to say that even grown women act dumb and immature at times.

I'm 19 nearly 20. Nah I am disease free. A lot of these girls are one's that come up to me initially. I think it's gone beyond petty teen games. Yeh maybe I am gonna start being more straight with girls and telling them there's something interesting about em n would like to find out more etc rather than playing this games of not even mentioning what i think about them when I meet em

Indeed, they are the "gotta go girls". I have plenty of friends who have been like that - it seems to be out of jealousy mostly.
