embarrassing situation

im 19 and there was a girl where i work who i liked and she was quitting because she was going to college but not to far away, when i confronted her and asked her if she liked me she wouldnt say yes or no, i thought she was just to afraid to say what she wanted to because there were some ppl around, so when i left I put a note on her car to call me if she wanted to and now everyone at work found out about it and it is really embarassing is there anyway i can talk my way out of it and end all the jokes?

The girl probably didn't want to hurt your feelings by telling you directly that she was not interested in you. If she were interested in you, she would have let you know. Save yourself possible heartache and let her go.
