Playing games - why do women do it?

why do women play games with men? when i say games i mean they know what we want but they play a game of being board and not wanting sex. it can hardly be that they dont like having sex, so why do they do it?

There are those women who use sex as their most powerful weapon to manipulate a man and get what they are after. In the initial stages of a relationship they may allow certain liberties or get a guy hooked on to having great sex. And when he is truly a slave to his desires they subtly wield their power over him to get him to do what they want, including the pouting sex kitten act when denied their way.

What’s a guy to do--

To deal with this kind of woman you have to think with your head rather than your heart, or any other more basic organs of your body! Sex is something that two partners in a relationship enjoy for mutual pleasure and not a means for extortion or manipulation.

My accountant (male) once told me that the problem with women in the Uk is "that you control fifty-three percent of the wealth and one-hundred percent of the pussy." Crude but true; we women have the power. Young women need to learn how to use that power and you are seeing them practice.

What an interesting perspective. I have always thought that it was because women around the globe universally have much less power, prestige, wealth, rights, property, income, etc., that the smart ones learn to use one of the few bargaining chips they do have.

Young attractive women who financially or emotionally exploit the men who are eager to sexually exploit them are not exactly exercising what I would call "power." They are manipulating an unfair gender system to their advantage while they can. Youth is a time-limited period that gives women a temporary advantage, but it is one given to them by men, not a power inherent in being a woman and having a pussy. Seventy-year old women are pretty much invisible and powerless because men do not give them this "power."

I know that I am not addressing the OP in what I wrote above. Women like sex with the right partner who arouses her in the right way for her. If she acts bored, maybe she's just not that into you. Or not worth pursuing if she actually does wants sex with you and pretends she doesn't. What a waste of everybody's time and energy!

That a funny thing for an American woman to say. If you haven't noticed, the 1950's are over - things have changed. Sure, if you want to talk about the third world, go ahead, but you're in New York for christssakes, not Afganiczechislostania.

As far as women playing games, they only do it if you let them. Instead of going along with it, just take control and kiss her - that always puts an end to it one way or another.

Sociological research? Yeesh, I'm no scholar. Academia means nothing to me - I go by what I see. You can make just about anything true if you research it hard enough...

rough studying a behavior or response is how we come to understand the workings within life, it's not limited to sociology, it includes topic such as engineering, medicine, and government. I would hate to see someone form theory strictly upon their personal observations...it's nice to back much up with Academics. It would be a real bitch if I practiced without a Master's degree! LOL! Same with the study of government & organizations...Master degrees & Phd's do help more than general observations...Hate to think all that education has been a waste!

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you here, sera. Personal experiences/observations make research irrelevant. Does a person that has never had sex but has watched a lot of porn have a good understanding of it? Not until they actually go out and try it for themselves. Actually seeing and doing things is the only way someone should form a theory on anything...

Obviously, if you're working in the medical field you need to know what you're doing. But if we're talking about just everyday life, you just can't research that... At least not successfully.
