He's 24 - and I'm much younger.
So I happen to be in love with someone...it's not just about sex, so I thought this would be the best forum.
I'm much younger...I'm in the teen range (I don't wanna say exactly what age) but not like young. I'm not 13 or 14 or anything like that. I'm about to graduate from High School, I'm inches away from legal adulthood. But even still, he's so much older. But we're crazy about each other. We had no idea the age gap was so huge. It's considered immoral to most. And it's illegal. I don't know what to do. :[ |

The difference between 17 and 24 is much greater in maturity and interest than between, say, 30 and 37. Or, even, 30 and 47.
There is the complete experience sof completing education and entering self-sufficiency. These do major things to advance ones' maturity. If he is still at your maturity level and shares your tastes and interests, he is likely hung up and will never grow up. You will pass him by. On the legal issues, someon else can address that. He is the one who will go to jail, anyway, not you. Sounds like that may help him mature.

I tend to agree with Brandye on this topic. Generally men take longer to mature than women but still wait until you are legal, say 18, before you do anything sexual with him - even if only to keep him out of prison.
But by age 24, you'd expect the man to be out of college, on his own, and gainfully employed. |
