interracial relationships

I'm just curious as to what other people think about interracial relationships. I've looked through all the boards and didn't see one discussion about it. I, myself don't date according to color, I date according to the person and his personality. It just happens that the last few people I've dated are black males and me being a white woman. I've heard all the arguements from both sides, black women complaining that white women are taking their men and white men complaining about the same thing about black men taking their women. Even tho I'm color blind to everyone; I do have to say that sex with black men (or the ones that I've been with) were probably the best sexual experiences I have ever had.

Over the years, ther have been discussions but, regrattably, they are often overtly racist and we demand they be taken down.

Unfortunately, there has been a trend in interracial relationships where cultural difference drive things apart. Granted, there are successful ones, but the success rate is higher for relationships in the same race. There is also the social stigma (which is sometimes true) that a partner of one race is using the other. And then other people simply have a color preference. Since I am German-Russian, I wouldn't really feel comfortable dating someone who wasn't German-Russian, even though most of my close friends are hispanic, asian, or african american. It's a cultural thing, and since my gf is G-R, we find that we have alot of customs in common, and similar family background. That probably wouldn't be the case if I dated a non G-R.

Well, I'm a white guy who's with a half-asian girl. I'm incredibly attracted to her. I wouldn't dare say I'm color blind; one of the reasons I'm crazy about her is because I embrace her race. It's a beautiful thing.

I guess for me the question isn't so much interracial as intercultural. Things can get complicated when your parents (and society, for that matter) are telling you both very different things.

haha coincidentally i'm a half asian girl dating a white guy (though no affiliation with Ephemera) i don't really have a race requirement...i kinda just go with the flow as long as the chemistry is right.
my mom's side of the family (she's the asian one) is extremely racist against non-asians but my parents are supportive and are fine with whoever i choose as long as they make me happy

I'm relatively new to this site so I was just curious about why there wasn't any postings about interracial relationships. I do apologize for saying I was "color blind" and hope it didn't offend anyone. I guess because of me dating black men, there's always been a color issue with other people and have dealt with ignorant people in the past making comments to either myself or the guy I'm with. Even tho this day and age there shouldn't be this kind of treatment, it stills happens everyday so you learn to deal with it. However, I'm not here to make enemies. I just stumbled upon this site looking for information. If anything I will learn something I didn't know and making some new friends is always a plus! Thank you to everyone who responded.
