long distance dilema - advice please
I’m 17. I have been going out with my boyfriend for about 9 months now - and I really think I might be in love.
We live in Scotland and I’m going on a gap year to South Africa this August (something iv been planning since before we started going out) I really don’t know what to do. When I’m over there I’v decided to have a year of celibacy just to be safe and not get distracted from work. should I split up with my boyfriend? (something which I really wouldn’t want to do) should we stay together?(which would be unfair for me to ask him to wait for me for a year) can anyone think of any alternative? please I need someone’s advice!! thanks a lot |

So true, everyone begins with the best intentions of maintaining the relationship while apart. Over time, the physical and emotional distance becomes too much and interest sparks elsewhere. It's really doing a disservice to both!
