don't know how to move on

its been months since i talked to my ex, and yet i still am in love with him. since ending our relationship, i've been datin the one guy, and recently my friend confessed that he's had a major crush on me and lately we've been spending a ton of time together...and still, my ex is still in my head...i somehow compare the other guys to him...no one is like my ex, he is the most amazing person in my eyes...and i guess maybe its cuz i haven't met many great guys...except this new guy is really sweet and nice, but he doesn't make me feel the same spark and instant connection i had with my ex....i just can't seem to move on though i desperately want to...and the wierd thing is, being with these other guys makes me even miss my ex more cuz deep down i wish they were him...just need some advice.

You should have known the grass isnt always greener on the other side, somtimes people take what they have for granted and only realize how much someone cared and loved them until its too late.

As nice and great as this new guy is, from your account of things, he does not seem to be the right guy for you. Date more, and sample more of what humanity has to offer.

Life without dancing?
I don't think so......

The feet may learn the steps;
yet only the spirit can dance!

Dancing is the fastest way to get
a girl alone and into your arms in public.

The Tango smolders and burns. It ignites the
heart, the soul, and yes, the libido.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
it's about learning how to Dance in the Rain!

Dance as if nobody is watching.

sera300 is a jewel in the rough
First and foremost, you are not ready for another exclusive relationship.

How do you get over an ex? You develop a "single life" again not a life of being a couple--break the habit. You spend time with friends/family, go out and have fun, find a hobby or something you have wanted to do and do it, get comfortable with being single, date as many people as possible, and only when you have examined & evaluated all life has to offer and find the right one, then consider another exclusive relationship.

Don't be a serial monogamist.
