I am curious ... does she like me or not?

Well, I am quite puzzled...

At work, i met this girl which we happened to be in the same class three years ago, we got off well, I have her cell phone number now.

I txted her just to try and get to know her better, for the first few days she txted back. But then from then onwards she never did replyed any of my messages, which i don't think is because I am txting too much since I only txt her like twice a week.

At first I thought she hated me, but then at work she still smiles when we see each other, and we still do chat together during breaks.
I don't really want to ask her why she wouldn't txt me as I am worried about getting her into an awakard position or the bad outcome...

So does anyone know what could be the possible reason for this??

Awkward is getting interested in someone you work with. As far as the messages, what makes you so certain she has gotten them? Sure she did not change her cell number, loose her cell, take txt off her plan? Just ask if you really want to know.

Although I have to mention that our phones uses different company line, which costs nz20 cents for each txt...

Why not establish a real world friendship with the person and not a cyber space text based one? You may only be sending messages a couple of times a week, which in and of itself is neither bad nor excessive, however, I believe you need to get real. Take one of your frequent meetings and use the opportunity to ask her on a date. Have one or two ideas in mind and present them to her. She'll either accept or decline. Once you have a real connection with her you can then discuss the matter of why she does not reply with a text message if this continues.
