howdy gents, does anybody have sick plans for treating their girl like a goddess on valentines day? I plan on making a kick-ass dinner and having a nice huge boquet (sp?) of flowers show up at her work, but I want to do something else too. any cool ideas?

St. Valentine's Day is when men are officially off-the-leash so go forth and be all he-man with her. Literally sweep her off her feet, big bear hugs, bend over backward kisses - the full treatment! Heck - cook that dinner of yours naked while she sits there watching you, drinking a glass of pinot noir wine and giggling, no doubt. You are permitted to be as cocky as you please! Feed her tidbits from the pot and kiss her in between bites.Whatever - just go for it!

There are floral arrangements and then there are floral arrangements.

Talk to more than one florist and find one that can do "high-style" arrangements. These arrangements are much more artsy often using exotic flowers available at the time of ordering. I enjoy picking the flowers and giving suggestions to the florist about how I wish the arrangement to look. They have books with pictures that will give you ideas. These flowers are are more than just a bunch of flowers in a vase--much more! Plan on spending about $50 although you can go a bit less as well as a whole lot more.

My guy and I usually try to have a nice dinner at home that night. It is hard to get into a decent restauraunt here on that day, traffic is horrible, and he can make better steak than 99.9% of steak houses out there. So you might want to really go out making the dinner that night. Make the stuff she really really loves but normally doesn't get to have. Look into sexy romatic deserts, like shocolate cake and chocolate covered strawberries.
Pick up her favorite flowers and a beautiful card. You might also want to pick up some sexy lingerie. Frederick's got some really nice stuff right now.

Mine has to work. A lady friend once sugested that IOU notes were cool to give. Like for a back rub, foot massage or something else you know she enjoys. Said her OM did that for her as part of her gift and she thought it was pretty neat.

Last year I had to work valentines day .. so I had a bouqet (sp?) of flowers delivered to her house. I then took her out for a meal.

This year, we're going away to the Lake District in the country .. planning on making her breakfast in bed complete with a single rose and a card =P

Don't know what we are going to do in the day =\ But at night I'm gonna take her out for a meal again .. then find a spot where we can go and watch the stars =)
