shaving

how does a guy shave his tackle without getting insane irritation?

- I go slow.
- I clean the razor after each swipe.
- I use a fusion with nivia sensitive cream for men.
- i put lotion on the area after.

1 day later it's itchy as **** then I get pimples and ingrown hairs. My girlfriend shaves her spot all the time and it looks beautiful all the time.

help.

My first thought was to have your girlfriend shave you since she knows how to do it. But maybe just ask her how she takes care of it. maybe you need a different lotion. I go bare and still get some ingrown hairs. So I don't know if I have the answer for you.

You might just be one of those THOUSANDS of people who has sensitive skin down there. Try shaving in the direction the hair grows, and use an electric razor.

If you still have problems, try waxing...

Also, if you keep it moisturized down there, you get less ingrowns.

hmm sounds like a need to try an electric razor then. do they shave as close? I have 1 ingrown hair right now and it really hurts a lot cause it's in a spot that gets a lot of friction during foreplay. Any info on what I can do to get rid of it quicker? I tried to pop it but I almost passed out from the pain haha, so I can't do that.

I shave in the shower without cream. Nothing fancy.

Same with me, shower works fine. Make sure when you shave, or before, to use warm water on your skin, that way it opens the pores for the hair to be cut easier, then cold water to clean up and seal them, so u dont get bacteria. How many times have you tried shaving exactly? I remember a few years back when I first started, and the next day or so when it grew back, it itched and was irritating me so I didn't do it for a while, then picked back up on it. It's like shaving your face.. the more you do it the better the outcome really. Your body will get use to it. Whatever you do though, don't shave until the hair is soft again and not prickly. If you try to shave every day, your gonna have lots of pain then.

thetease13 has a spectacular aura about
I still get them and I've been shaving forever.
There's a bunch of shaving topics scattered throughout this forum, some are stickies, some are not, but some of the things in there might work for you.

An eletric razor will help to a point, but not a lot.

My new found advice, which seems to be working for me at the moment for the most part (I still itch some, but not nearly as much and the ingrown hairs have reducted) is if you're going to use a regular razor, try the shaving cream for dry skin. It might be best to use a woman's shaving gel down they're more designed for other areas of the body. And then put lotion on afterwards, and if you remember, a few hours later or the next morning if you shave at night.

Or, if you feel like being daring, try a cream called Coochy Cream. It's designed for the private region but you can shave anywhere with it, even the face, and you can even use it as a hair conditioner. It's an extreme conditioner that lessons the chances of irritation and ingrown hairs. I recently got it and it works pretty good.
I'm a type of person that can really only shave once a week on my legs and private region because I grow hairs so fast that 12 hours later I already have new hairs growing and the irritation has already set in so shaving on top of that just makes it worse. But I started using that and I found myself at least able to shave twice a week so far, which is a vast improvement, for me at least.
But anyways, check it out if you want. http://www.coochyshave.com/
You have to get it online though. Normal stores don't carry it.

Yeah I still get them no doubt. But I guess I'm use to it where it doesn't itch, and if it does, its the FIRST day and only the first day when the hairs start to grow through the skin again
Really nothing to worry about. Don't think I've had but a few ingrowns and they havent given me any trouble at all. If I get bumps, they go away themselves by the time I'm ready to shave again, and I usually don't get any unless I scrape over the same spot more than 2-3 times.
