im sure something of this nature has been posted a million times, and ive seen a few close ones, but everybody's situation is nevertheless unique. So I'll post mine. And hopefully you'll help me out, lol.

Ok, Im 21, in college, have a job, live a very stable life. Still staying with the parents, but I'm saving up to move out. Ive been single for a while LOL but have no more problems than others getting a date with a girl "my age" (19-23?) Sooo..I end up meeting this girl. She's 16. We hung out a few times by chance, nothing more. Starting talking online, and actually went to the movies. I never thought i'd be so attracted to a girl so young. Is this worth pursuing?(BTW, its not illegial in any way, so no probs there)

I guess it depends on how "INTELLECTUALLY" matched or how "INTELLECTUALLY" close the two of you are...if a 16yr old can enlighten you and hold her own during a conversation of what you like or dislike or if you can keep her enlightened on her likes and dislike..i guess it'll work....but then again...........

I find myself agreeing with the above comments even though I fundamentally disagree with the scenario. I gather from your comment about the legality that in your state the age of consent is not an issue. That said, it is in those other states and that should bring up warning flags rather than a green flag.

A sixteen year old girl is generally not on the same page as a young man of twenty one. They have yet to acquire the life experience and the emotional maturity. The brain of any one this age is far less developed and there is going to be differences in outlook, perception, and some social development that will not as yet have taken place.

I think it is fine to be friends, however, I would not enter into an exclusive relationship with her at this time. If you two are still available in three years then explore the possibilities. In the meantime, I recommend some social development of your own in which you date lots of people in order to learn what humanity has to offer in a potential mate. The reason for dating is to learn about other peoples' characters, likes, dislikes, goals, quirks, morals, values, interests, etc., so that when the time does come to find Ms. Right, you will be better able to make the correct choice.
