Bored with marriage - need advice

I've been married for over 18 years and faithful the
whole time.
Lately, though, I've been kind of bored. After this
much marriage,
there are no surprises left and whatever romance we
once had has been
over for a long time. I don't want to do anything
stupid, like have
an affair (my friend did that and it was a disaster!).
I'd like to
spice things up and would appreciate some suggestions.

In a much as yu have been together for long time try and find something you have never done before.


In other words start dating your wife again and rekindle that passion

I agree with David. Begin dating your wife.

I am of the opinion that if a person is considering having an affair, s/he should then decide if the marriage is worth saving to put as much time, effort, and creative energy into the existing relationship that would be placed in a brand new and uncertain one. As part of the process, this also means telling each other about yourselves, now, just like you would if the person was a relative stranger as would often be the case in an affair.
