Can't decide on which one to date!? HELP!

Hello - I know this sounds really bad but here goes... I've been waiting for my boyfriend to get out of jail for some time. He got in a bad wreck and they charged him with a hit and run and some stuff and made him go to jail for 3 months. We got back together 2 weeks before he went back into jail...we had dated for 4-5 months (seriously) about a year before. I moved down 6 hours south and started my new life. I waited for him all 3 months but I met this guy and we became really good friends. He has everything i ever wanted in a man and he is my best friend. I fell in love with him over time not knowing he had a secret. We were only friends for about 3 or 4 months and then the passion started flowing. Now my boyfriend is out of jail but still lives up north because of probation and I am dating my friend...and we are the happiest ever. His deep secret though is that back in April HE was in the wrong place at the wrong time and he has to go to court and they might send HIM to jail and they are looking at many many many years. My friend is the nicest man ever...and it's so sad that they might put him away...he is the best person in the world and has the biggest heart. His charge is for something drug related...even though he has never done drugs.... he was in the car so he was included.

My problem is I have to make a decision between the two of them. I have to pick. My heart chooses my friend whom i have fallen deeply for. His court date is soon but it keeps dragging and I dont know if he is going to go or not. My boyfriend is really in love with me and I have to make my mind up and quit ignoring him or I will loose him.... What do I do?!?!

It sounds like you need to find some friends that aren't involved with drugs and alcohol (or heavily involved with friends like that).

One thing is for sure...it is very difficult for people to come out of jail and re-introduce themselves to normal society. If you wait for someone who's in jail to return home, they may be quite a bit different from when they went in.

Why do you not just move a few more hours away, clear your head and give each of them some time to get theri respective acts together. It does not sound like any one of the three of you is any position to make long term decisions right now.

I'd date the guy who is not in jail personally and see how that works out.
