long term relationship?

I checked previous posts and didnt see anything quite like this situation.

I studied abroad and met a guy there. He ended up coming to the states and attending a school near my school. I'm 23 and he's 29, both graduate students, so we are out of that typical party lifestyle.

We've been friends for nine months now, and on Saturday he finally kissed me and we ended up having an AMAZING night together. My history is that I've only dated someone for two months after the first time we have sex.

With this guy, its different though. I'm hoping it will last for a long term thing (at least more than 2 months). I know to only take it day by day, but I'd like advice on how to keep this long term. Anything I particularly should/should not do, to not drive him away?

DONT put too much pressure on the relationship to work as this can actually have the opposite effect!

that's the only don't i can think of really...this is a new relationship and it sounds like you have quite strong foundations for it - which is great news!
try not to think about your history and relationships that haven't worked. focus on the situation at hand - be yourself. be kind and don't force anything on yourself or him. there's nothing different you need to do that you don't already do. as you're both good friends, just carry on this way.
