ok. i am in LLLLooooVVVeeee with my bf, and he claims to love me 2, but when he says it, it sounds like he's lying,ya know? monotone, quick, quiet... are sum guys just like that? i want to believe he loves me, but it makes me nervous when he says it like that. and, just to add a lil sum-summin (lol my 'gangsta talk. ) how many ppl out there believe you can meet the love of your life in high school and stay with them? or is that just CRAZY? thx all!

to sound cliche'.... actions speak louder than words.
Maybe he's just shy or not sure if he's "in love" yet... how old are you?
Otherwise, how does he treat you? does he treat you like he loves you???

Well some guys are just hopeless romantics and want to shout that they love you from the rooftops. Others are more quiet and reserved. That doesn't mean they love you any less. If he tells you he loves you then believe him. It's usually not something people just like to throw around.

I believe that you can meet the love of your life in high school. Given it's very rare but that doesn't make it impossible. So no, you're not crazy.

Men do throw around the phrase "I love you", it's proven so that they can get some ass. Women want to hear it. Not all men mean it, so there is a chance that he's saying it to get some.

Now, I am not stating that this is him, but I wanted to correct Awesum. Some men do use the phrase.

I do believe that you can fall in love in HS, however, I also believe that you will love more than one in your life time. You can love him, but some time you might love another...MIGHT.

Eh, I suppose thats true, from time to time men will throw around that phrase, but not necessarily to get their partner into bed. I think it is much more plausible that most men use it simply to get themselves out of the situation...if that makes any sense...

Just saying it, and not really fully meaning it, and since, going back to what you said, women do want to hear it...but i belive that men most likely say it to them...for lack of a better phrase...to get them to be quiet?
