Nice the way it is.....

So I met this girl in a fitness class I take at my local gym. *Nice, cute, into fitness as much as I am (big plus). *We chat at the gym ,see each other at races we run, and of course in fitness class.

*No ring on her finger, though I had a friend who said he thought that she was married. *I don't want to ask her out if she's married, I'm *just not down with that, but I would be interested in hangin out with her if she's single, thought I'm not up for dating anyone seriously right now.

*Prob is that it's nice just the way it is talking now and then, with out the added pressure of knowing whether she is single or not. *

*My question: is it better to know one way or another, or.... *just leave it the way it is and enjoy it. *It's not like I would really want to see her seriously, and asking her could make things a little akward.

*I realize that I could work around the subject and "find out", though she's pretty with it and would def pick up on what I'm trying to do.

I would say find out. That way you can know what you can do. If she's single, you know that there is a possibility for a date. If she's amrried...then you made a nice friend and not building castles in the sky for nothing. But it is your desicion and none of us can make it for you.

I'd say if you are enjoying things the way they are and don't want them to change, then just enjoy them.

However, if you really want to know if she's married, then that's easily found out. A simple, "Does your boyfriend (since she doesn't wear a ring) enjoy running, too?" should answer the question. Will she know what you are doing? Probably.

Overheard her tell someone her husband was sick, and she didn't want to get his cold. So I found out, which is good. Like you said LittleFury, I have made a new friend, and it will be easier to know how to relate to her.

I did find it a little odd that she never brought him up in our conversations. We have talked fairly regularly while running on the treadmill other machines. I guess the topic never came up, and maybe she liked the attention and thought that it wouldn't be given had she told me she was married.
