Well...go on hikes, camping trips, picnics...there are a whole lotta things. I think going out on a nice picnic in the afternoon in a park somewhere nearby would be a helluva lot more romantic than the typical movie. Or maybe cook her dinner at your place and watch a movie there. That's a good change. Picnics are probably your best bet with nice summer weather (just avoid mosquito times)

I like the whole picnic thing, but I think that I personally would like it better at night on a beach, so that way when you are done eating you can what the waves and the moon, its so pretty at night on the beach.

Well, since my gf lives about 2,000 miles away from me I don't have the opportunity to take her on picnics, and do all of the other romantic things that I'd like to do for her. And since our 6 month anniversary is coming up (Tomorrow), I have to be creative. So what I'm doing, I made a little website with a pretty picture of the woods and the stars, and I put her favorite song on it, then I'll just need to act like I'm actually there. Hopefully she will like it hehe.
So what am I saying? Be creative. You just have to try all kinds of various things but the key is to make each one unique and romantic apart from every other one. That way, she'll never know what to expect, and hopefully she'll love it everytime. I hope that helps. It's not really a particular romantic date, but more of a possible foundation for your future dates. |

Tough one guy. Davison is pretty small, but you have water. Is there a boat rental place close nearby? How about renting a small boat or skiff. Don't know if y'all have Bristol Farms or other gourmet markets around, but find a place that can create a gourmet picnic basket for you. If you're of age, get a bottle of nice California Chardonnay. Enlist the help of a friend who will take all of this, and a "boom box" with her favorite music CDs. Candles would be a nice touch. If you can get the boat to a small islet, have a picnic there.
If not, anchor your "yacht" and have a quiet evening of fine food, wine and conversation. If all else fails, pick up some fried chicken from Country Boys Restaurant and have a regular old picnic by the water. Here's a link that can give you some ideas. I don't endorse this site, just found it with a quick search. http://www.picnic-ideas.com/ Good luck |

The most creative thing my boyfriend ever got me was a necklace (beautiful at that though). The most romatic date we have ever had was the night after my birthday I guess. Other than bringing me home with him and Valentine's Day (when we went out with 6 other friends) it is the only date we've had and we've been together for at least 7 months, more like 8.
I wish we would do more together, but he makes me happy with the little that we do do together. If you love your girlfriend, the romantic date thing doesn't matter. It is just about being together whether you are sitting on the old torn up couch, in the car, or in the park. I'm very content just being able to sleep in my boyfriend's arms and can't ask for much more. |

I think even the simplest activities can be really fun and romantic. My bf and I go on really great dates all the time and it's never any big thing, just simple stuff. He took me out for ice cream the other day and we walked around the city and that was an awesome time. Last weekend we went to the beach and had a picnic, he's a great photographer and he snapped pictures of me the whole time. I thought that was really romantic. Hikes and camping can be fun if you like the outdoors. My boyfriend and I are both painters and we love art so sometimes we pack a lunch and go to some galleries and museums.
My favorite thing though, is just to sit at the kitchen table with him and have a cup of tea and talk. Whatever helps you enjoy eachothers company the most is what you should do, even if it's nothing fancy. |
