Curious about a rumor pretaining to testosterone and industrial hand soap?

In recent days I have heard some people saying that the industrial soaps they use at places of work (grocery stores etc.) contain something in them that lowers your testosterone levels. I have never heard about this but i was just curious if it was true or not and if its even at all possible?

Anti-bacterial hand (or dish) soap (difficult to find in Europe) does include ingredients that can lower testosterone production. Another problem is fresh vagetables that have been treated with pesticides or, even, the water where the agricultural fields drain.

The reason for this is that the germicides or pesticides do not usually kill the existing bugs; they prevent reproduction. Think of this as birth control for bugs and germs. We women have no reaction to this because our female hormone levels are high enough that this is a trivial addition. It is a problem in men because something that resembles estrogen added to their system will slow testosterone production.

In those nations (most of the industrialized world) where we are fed from industrial farms, testosterone levels have been decreasing for the last forty years or so.

Regular hand soap, even industrial strength, does not have this effect - only anti-bacterial soaps do.

This I didn't know. Bugger!
