I will be 42 next month, is that too early for menopause? I feel like I am going crazy most days with mood swings from hell. I am glad I work in a bakery with a giant walk in freezer because I have also been having massive heat flashes. I have also been ultra sensitive with smells- most make me feel like vomiting. But the worst is my libido- I can't seem to get enough, yet I have a hard time reaching the big O. My cycle is still regular so I know I could not be pregnant. Any helpful hints, tips or suggestions?

could this be menopause

I am coming up to 44 shortly and i feel exactly like you do pennycandy. It took my mother around 10yrs to go through menopause and i think she was in her mid 50's when she finished it.I hope it don't take me that long, but what you say about mood swings, increased libido, sensitive smell, hot flashes ect is exactly what is happening to me too
Yes. it certainly is. Time for a long chat with your doctor. At the first sign of menopause, I wrote myself a prescription for hormone replacement therapy. This is controversial and can be contraindicated by medical history, family history and other conditions you may have. 42 is certainly early but not unheard of. Talk with your doctor.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Menopause is GREAT!! The hot flashes = vacatios in Tahiti but I don't get the mood swings etc. you other ladies are getting - but sexually - PARTY!!!
This is soo much fun!
Forget being a family sedan - now it is time for Sports Car!
I have three teenage children, and one day two of them were driving me mental with their constant bickering and whining.I had absolutely had a gut full of it all,and screamed "for god's sake will you two just shut the f* up". My son almost 13 turned to me and said with concern in his voice "mum are you going through a midlife crisis?"Don't you love them even when you wish you could strangle them with your bare hands sometimes.:p:)
