Often the sex terms my partner uses confuse me as to where he got them and what he means by them. At first I wondered if it was just me, as in maybe I am just less knowledgeable than I thought.
But after going through the huge list of sex terms I found on this website and recognizing all but 3 of the who knows how many listed maybe its not me.
We've been going out for 5 months and taking things slow, only been intimate twice, but I want to be on par with him and where he gets his little terms from don't know how to do that. He is older than me so maybe its because he is more experienced than me. We also grew up in different areas of the country. I just wonder why he uses what I think are "weird" terms.
Any ideas on how I can overcome this? Like how I can bring this up to him that his sex terms make so sense to me, lol.
Just tell him you were unfamiliar with some of his terms, so you looked around for some info. and they are apparently not "terms" used; thus, leaving you (and other's) w/no clue to what he is talking about.
I'm still accepting of the idea that maybe it is just me. Like when he told me he wanted to "hammer me" I literally thought of him bringing a hammer into the bedroom. But I realized how silly that was and I looked up what it could mean in an online dictionary and discovered that hammer basically is like saying you banging someone...a slang I would have recognized.
He also says 'twat' instead of vagina very often, and I've only ever heard him call it that!
Those are the only two I can remember because when he says his sexual terms when we are talking my brain just goes -HUH?- and I forgot whatever weird term he just used.
Both which you have mentioned are familiar w/me & at times I think I live under a rock! So, I would say they are pretty consistent w/slang. Next time just ask him to clarify, he'll probably laugh about it, but he'll explain!!!
Don't feel bad...when people use "text" on here I have to look it up on a website to see what it means!
So I guess I spelled twat right then...I couldn't even confirm that in any online search but I did ask him about that one because he kept using the word and I didn't know what he was talking about.
When I asked he did laugh at it my question, nicely not mean or anything. I guess I just worry about sounding dumb in front of him. Its not like I need help with that ;) who does?

Look at the second site I found! That should help. Just because you don't pick up the slang, does not make you look bad!!! There are terms I still search (including all that txt stuff)!
