Condom allergy - very painful.

I have an allergy to condoms, but recently my girlfriend missed her pill so we had to use a condom. It was supposed to be a non allergy condom but it still caused the same rash as normal condoms.

The symptoms are:
-Foreskin gets realy dry and red
- Skin around tip of my penis begins to crack and skin peels off a little
-Skin around the tip of my penis gets very tight, i cant even get the head of my penis out enough to pee, or clean properly with bad cases.

I have tried creams like e45, sudocream and they make it worse. I use anti septic cream like savlon which helps, it makes the problem alot better but does not completely clear the problem.

As there are a few doctors on this forum, what do you suggest?

Thanks.

Sounds like a latex allergy. Try the polyurethane condoms. I am not aware of anyone reacting to poly. The other possibility is that if you used a lubricated condom you are reacting to the lube - usually has a little spermicide in it and some people do react to Non-9.

This can become worse in the uncircumcised with a collection of stuff under the foreskin - smegma.

Hi...not a doc, just a nurse. Have you tried any hydrocortisone creams to help heal it up? Latex allergies are terrible, and some of the lubricants used in some condoms can cause severe irritation to some.

I just bought some of that cream and it seems to be working very well. Thanks for the advice! :)
