Pregnancy scare

Ok so my girlfriend and i are kinnda freaking out right now, we had sex yesterday without a condom, but she is on the pill and she has not missed it a single day in months, i pulled out before i came, and it was teh first day of her period, she actually got her period only a few hours before we had sex, but we are just really nervous, is it at all likely that she could be pregnant, also what would be the first signs of pregnancy so that just in case we know what to look for? and also if the first day of her period was yesterday, would we have to wait an entire month to be sure? We are really scared about this and any info would be helpful.

it's kinnda odd, we aren't that young, actually before i lost my job a couple months back we were about to get engaged, we've been having sex for quite a while but for some reason we both just got really paniced this time around. I really don't know what brought about the random paranoia

Ok, let me see if I got this strait....she's on the pill (97%+ effective), you pulled out before you let your baby batter rip (50% effective, depending on splash area), can she get pregnant while on her period, yes, though not really common. The first two points don't add up to a baby, unless you're one of those that possess super-sperm. The first sign? That would be a frying pan aimed at your skull...duck! Take an EPT, and wait. For whichever result....sit down and have some beer. You'll either be crying or celebrating. Good luck..and may God have mercy on your soul.

Any time that a penis is in a vagina there is a chance of pregnancy. Most women in stable, monogamous relationships and on the pill use no additional birth control. Of 100 women so protected for one year, 3 will become pregnant.

The more important thing you have learned is that neither of you seems emotionally prepared for sex. The two of you better have a long open discussion about what you know, what you do not know and what level of risk you are each prepared to take. There is much helpful information on this board for this education that you each need.
