pregnant?
since we are on the same topic my girlfriend and i need help finding out if she is pregnant. her last period was march 16 and ended on the 22 and according to a website that did ovulating calculations she was ovulating during 25-29 and we had sex on the 8th. when we had sex we used an ultra thick trojan condom and we wanted to try anal so i took it off and i know there was precum inside there so i wiped it off and put lube on. because there was a lot of lube my dick kept sliding out of place and going inside her vagina but barely touching it. now its been aweek and friday she started getting cramps in her uterus area. which she usually doesnt get and she was supposed to have her period on the 16th but still havent. she doesnt get much headaches now but has lower back pains and cramps in her uterus area. she has been forgetful lately amd according to some research that could be a symptom. her period has been every 26 days for the past 3 months and has not skipped yet except for august of last year. she usually has an irregular period. could you help us please? thanks your replies and knowledge are greatly appreciated.

I have never known a woman who could identify cramps near her fallopian tubes. When the fallopian tubes hurt, there are greater problems than simple pregnancy.
The earliest indicator of pregnancy is a missed period.

Sperm will live in the female reproductive tract for up to five days. It takes the egg about one day to traverse the fallopian tubes which is where it can become fertilized. So, vaginal sex a few days before ovulation can result in pregnancy.
Whilst ovulation generally occurs midway through the menstrual cycle, beginning with the first day of the period, this ca, and does, vary greatly. Women can, and do, ovulate on any day of the cycle including during menstruation. Younger women tend to be more erratic than more mature women. Unless you want a child, protection is required any time a penis gets near a vaginal opening.

I haven't had my period for six weeks,i recently visited my doctor who tested me for pregnancy and it was negative.I'm almost 44 and i asked him if i could be starting menopause as my periods had been becoming irregular(every two-three weeks). The doctor said i'm too young to begin menopause yet,but my mother started it when she was around my age.Could it be possible that i may be pregnant after all, menopausle, both of these things or just highly stressed.

Menopause is the more likely if you showed negative on the pregnancy test. Within the past month there have been a few posts regarding starting menopause from women about your age. It may last longer than most and you will need to be viglant to not become pregnant because of irregularity but early forties not unknown for onset.

Thanks Brandye menopause is what i thought so thanks for replying to my post & easing my mind. Also i have started an internet romance with a much younger man(20yrs)which seems promising as he wants to meet me in the possible hope of starting a long term relationship.I'ts early days yet but obviously if that happens i would like to try and give him at least one child.I know the risks re Downsyndrome and other abnormalities, and have already lost a child at 20weeks pregnant who had enencephally(hole in the head similar to spina bifida)Two years later i had a healthy son,my youngest. What other risks if any would i have to be aware of if i were to try to conceive again.

With that history and your age, the recommendation is to not try to have a baby. We know, now, that the quality of the eggs begins to decrease at about 30 rather than the 40 that was thought and taught for decades. Once symptoms of menopause begin, the risk increases even more for a whole litany of syndromes and malformations. You may or may not have difficulty becoming pregnant. Just as your period has become irregular, so has your ovulation. It is likely that between some periods you are not ovulating at all and between other you may be ovulating two or three times.
As discussed in another thread, your budding relationship is just that and whether or not it blooms should be evaluated with some objectivity and not in the rush to concieve. Keep a level head and think long and hard about the risks of the relationsip, of pregnancy in your aging body (yes, yours) and of a child with multiple anomalies.
