Perhaps you should go to the library and read a couple of books on human physiology and reproduction--especially before engaging in intercourse!

I gather that you are not on the pill or using some other form of highly reliable contraceptive. WHY?

If you do not wish to become a mother and to have the future course of your life forever changed you need to look out for and protect A#1--you.

If your partner does not wish to become a father and to have the future course of his life forever changed, he needs to look out for and protect A#1--himself by wearing a condom, each and every time no exceptions.

In addition the two of you should always have a backup. Use a spermicide also. Never rely upon your sexual partner for your protection.

At the very least, use a condom along with a spermicide.

Permit me to recommend that you not have sex, again, until you understand how your body operates, and, you have all three contraceptives in place. Doing so will do much to alleviate your worry and angst. If you are going to engage in adult behavior, you have to be adult about possible consequences.
