BC pills+condom+spermicide?!?!?
I'd sure hope not! Looking back it seems like almost every month you start a thread about... could my gf be pregnant? If you took all the precautions above and had 3 forms of BC...there's isn't really anymore you can do! Possibility of pregnancy is a risk you take everytime you have sex. If you are going to freak out every month.. is it really worth it?!? Also note, that when looking at the pill pack... like on mine... there are 3 weeks of "active" pills and 1 week of placebo pills in which that is the week you get your period. I start my placebo pills on Sunday but I don't actually start bleeding till say Wed/Thur. So its not automatic...the hormone levels need a few days to drop so the menstruation can start. It doesn't mean she's late.

Was she taking anything else like antibiotics??
Those interfere w/ the pill and I know if Im sick and I take antibiotics... I will have some spotting. There have also been times I was a few days from my period and having sex seemed to induce it. Like all that poking around made it kick in. Just when in doubt... take a home preg test... that's the only way to know for sure. No one here can say.

Has she been on the pill a long time? Is it a new brand of pill?
I mean for the most part when a woman is on the pill, their periods are pretty much on a timed cycle. Altho, hormones/cycle aren't something that's always concrete and different variables can throw things off. Like I said b4, you won't know for sure unless she takes a Preg Test. Might as well get it over w/ instead of worrying about what ifs or why it happened.

Relax a little, come down to Alert Level Orange instead of Alert Level Red. Keep using what you have been, and if it proves to be a regularly occuring thing, then all is probably well. As always, take caution when having sex, and if all else fails, get the "Morning After" pill.
Definate props though for playing it smart though. |
