Period stopped?
Okay, the last time I had sex was about two weeks ago, I remember being a little worried since it was around when I was ovulating. We did use a condom and it never broke, slipped off, or anything. I just had my period my on the 26th and it was very heavy and was very heavy yesterday (which is usually normal). I had the normal cramps and headache's but when I woke up today there was no blood at all. I'm worried I might be pregnant although I might just be a little paranoid. Would my period have started at all if I was or am I just having a short period? This has never happened to me.

Well it actually just started again and I'm bleeding normally. I mentioned it to my mom and she said that just happens sometimes. I do remember waking up in the morning on some days and there would be no blood on my pad but I'd still be bleeding and it wasn't light enough for it to not show up on my pad. What's weird is I never would have known if I didn't have to get up and go to work today. So I feel a lot better now and I'm glad I didn't come home to a bunch of replies suggesting I might be pregnant lol. So thanks for the reply ^^

Well after I started bleeding again I did a bit more research on google. I did read were someone mentioned if you sleep a certain way it can stop the blood flow. They didn't really give an explanation why and I didn't really believe it. So now I'm hearing it again and I'm just glad to know that's the case. As I mentioned before it has happened to me (or at least I think) but by the time I had gotten to the bathroom I had already started bleeding again. Anyway, thanks again for the reply, learned something new today ^^

Each of us is slightly different in our specific anatomy. But, look at one of those cutaway diagrams of the female reproductive system and imagine it "on its' back." It is possible for the blood to pool significantly if one does not move much during the night. Remember that the entire flow is only a few tablespoonfuls, so one nights'worth is not that much - even though it seems like gallons. Stand the diagram up again and things start to flow.
Another possibility is that you sleep in a position that may actually crimp the uterus just above the cervix or with the cervical os pressing against the vaginal wall. Again, the flow will be temporarily stopped. Untangle yourself, and you flow again.
