light bleeding on and off for a few hours...

So story goes like this, I have been getting cramps, like period pains, for around a week now, and 2 days ago, i bled a little, the blood was a light colour and it was only on and off for no more than i'd say 4-5 hours ..

i havent come on my period that i know, unless that was a VERY short and light period? so what would this be? does anyone have a clue??

worried!

All our bodies do that once in a while. Was it time for your period or just a random event?

This happened to me recently. I was mid-cycle and noticed a bit of spotting. I've been on bc for a while so it was not my body adjusting or anything. It was only that one day and everything is back to normal now.

This happened to me not too long ago. Since I got off BC I've been noticing little things that I didn't pay attention to before. Sometimes a few days before I'm supposed to start my period I'll get a little spotting and then a few days later I'll start. Sometimes it comes with the normal period cramps and other times it doesn't. I wouldn't be too worried about it unless you're period isn't due for awhile or your late.

If you have any concern about pregnancy, do a pregnancy test to, at least, put your mind at ease.

If you are irregular tot he point that you really lose track, talk to your doctor. You may be more comfortable with regulation i.e., go on the pill.

Could be either. Some women have "implantation bleeding" when the fertilized egg joins the uterine lining. That would indicate pregnancy and it could be a healthy pregnancy.

Only one time in four that we have unprotected sex during ovulation leads to a live birth. The other times, either fertilization does not take place (egg refuses the sperm) or the fertilization is not a good one and we miscarry. Many miscarriages are not even recognized as such when they are very early.

See your doctor and explain exactly what happened. This deserves a check up.
