I think i might be pregnant!

Im really worried as me n my boyfriend had unprotected sex once after a drunken valentines night. I was due my period today and im usually right on my date, but haven't started yet.

I've just started taking the pill today, is it safe just to take the pill at the same time every day and not use a condom?

You are upset and acting irrationally. Taking the pill now will do you no good. Once a fertilized egg has implanted in your uterus, the pill will do nothing to protect you but may affect the developing zygote. You are beyond the time limit for the morning after pill (Plan B) and now have some decisions to make.

Forget taking contraceptive pills; they will do nothing for you now but may harm the baby. Get to a women's clinic, Planned Parenthood, school clinic or wherever you can get good advice. Your decision will regard using mifepristone (RU-486), an abortion or carrying the baby to term. In all three scenarios you need medical advice.

Get to a clinic now; whatever you decide, the sooner, the better.

Yeah I wouldn't start taking BC now?!? too little too late maybe..... most pill packs say to start the first Sunday after your period starts or first day starter... but need to know for sure it's starting.
At least get a Preg test to see for sure!

There are many possible reasons that you have not gotten your period:

1. You missed a day on the calendar.
2. You are stressed.
3. You are running a temp.
4. You had unprotected sex in mid-cycle.

First, you are a bit frightened and now in denial. Get it checked. Demon's idea of a pregnancy test is the starting point.

You have three choices:

1. Carry the baby to term - and then there are a couple additional decisions.

2. Talk to your doctor about mife (RU-486). You will likely have to wait a couple weeks before most doctors would administer this.

3. Seek an abortion, either chemical (saline solution injected) or mechanical (traditional D&C).

In Glasgow, all three of these are available, on request, to any woman over sixteen. The sooner you get medical advice, the better. If you go to term, pre-natal care should begin soonest. If you opt for abortion, the earlier it is, the easier on your body. Planned Parenthood or your usual clinic can advise you. If you need a contact ring up the Sandyford clinic - 0141 211 8130. They have satellite clinics around the City.
